Yesteryear Collection

Collecting Matchbox toys has been a hobby enjoyed by thousands for decades. When you acquire a Matchbox replica you hold in your hand a piece of collecting history. They have been sought after by collectors all over the world and it is for a very good reason that we are known as "the greatest name in die-cast."

Whether it's the appeal of a particular group of models or the style of certain vehicles does not matter, because collecting is a purely personal matter. It may be the classic vintage automobiles from the twenties and thirties or the muscle cars of the early sixties...or the classic sports cars of Europe or great fire trucks of yesteryear...even historic steam-driven machines from the Industrial Revolution. We're all different and there's something for everyone with such a wide selection of Matchbox themes to choose from.

We know you'll enjoy this new Junior Collectors Club special Ford Model T truck and we'll make sure you hear about future Matchbox issues as they become available. Happy collecting!

A running change during production had the cast lettering of 'Matchbox Collectibles Models of Yesteryear' deleted to have the legend replaced in while tampo print. This resulted in a return to the old spelling of 'Collectables' and the replacement of the ® mark after 'Yesteryear'.
Whilst the majority of the YY12/SA had roofs finished in the same bright green as the chassis/bases, some 36 models had roofs finished in the rich blue colour.
All models have the base hole at the rear of the body.
All rear lights were the same colour as that of the painted roof.
The suffix 'SA' in the coding means that the 'S' is for Special Livery and the 'A' shows it to be the first Special Livery.

Total production of 3,500.
